In March 2021, Jessica and Zachary said “I do” with a tropical-inspired wedding at The Bridge Building Event Spaces.
The pair met during a mutual friend's wedding in 2014 while Jessica lived in New Orleans. She decided to move to Baltimore to be with Zach after a three-year, long distance relationship.
A few years later while on vacation in New Orleans, Zach got down on one knee in a beautiful courtyard after they enjoyed a nice dinner and drinks.
When it came to the big day, it was important for Jessica and Zach to be in the moment and enjoy their time together. Jessica later told us that was made possible by their “fantastic vendors.” We’re blushing. And choosing us as their wedding venue came naturally because they love being near the water, and we are situated next to the Cumberland River with some of the best views of downtown Nashville!
Jessica and Zach shared a sweet first look and said getting to have their own private moment before the festivities began was truly special. Their rooftop ceremony was set with large tropical palm leaves and industrial chandeliers. Jessica held a bundle of unique blooms, including white orchids and soft pink proteas, as she walked down the aisle.
Once vows were shared and rings were exchanged, guests headed out to a cocktail hour where they enjoyed jumbo shrimp cocktail shooters, pepper jelly pimento cheese bruschetta, and miniature Southern BLTs while sipping on glasses of pinot grigio and pinot noir.
Then it was time for a plated dinner of bourbon glazed salmon or honey balsamic chicken with lemon scented asparagus and garlic parmesan mashed potatoes, followed by dancing, donuts, and cake!
The reception was set with comfortable lounge areas and silver linens. Arrangements of palm leaves set the tropical tone and Edison bulbs, hung by Nashville Lighting & Production, gave the room a warm glow.
